Ali Boswijk

CEO, NELSON BAYS MARKETING NETWORK

Ali Boswijk is Chief Executive of Arts Marketing in Nelson, New Zealand. From Guernsey in the Channel Islands, she graduated with an honours degree in Business Studies from the University of North London. She then spent seven years working for Worldwide Television News in marketing and publicity. She subsequently worked in the Cayman Islands producing television commercials. Ali has travelled extensively, on one trip touring Iceland, Scandinavia and the Baltic States on a motorbike. She also spent time in North America and the Caribbean before moving to New Zealand. Now at Arts Marketing, part of her brief is to develop and promote cultural tourism in the Nelson region and New Zealand in order to "Create Opportunities for the Arts to Flourish". This work has positioned Nelson as a significant arts region and has resulted in increased income for artists plus a greater appreciation of the industry by the local community.
