John Cunningham

Chairman, CALTECH CAPITAL PARTNERS Ltd

John Cunningham is currently a shareholder and Chairman of Caltech Capital Partners Ltd, an investment bank specialising in companies that use technology. Caltech manages a Venture Capital Fund that invests in early stage companies.

Prior to Caltech John was with Fernz Corporation Ltd in operational roles and as Corporate Development Manager.

John has experience in licensing technology from USA, Japan and Germany and has set up joint ventures in China and Malaysia. He is a chemical engineering graduate of the University of Auckland and has completed a Diploma in Business and a Master of Engineering (Environmental). He is a Fellow of IchemE, IPENZ and IE Aust.

His other interests include membership of the TechNZ advisory board FRST, the presidency of IPENZ and several directorships of unlisted companies. He is also a Senior Fellow at Waikato University where he lectures in technology management.
