Kelvin Moffatt
CEO, BLISS TECHNOLOGIES
Kelvin Moffatt has over 14 years experience in the development and sales of healthcare products. He joined BLIS Technologies as CEO in July 2001. A New Zealander, he has recently returned from the United Kingdom where he was employed in the head office of Boots Healthcare International as the General Manager of Healthcare Products. He was responsible for the marketing, market growth and business objectives, along with the research and development and new product pipeline of Boots' healthcare brands in the international market place. This included responsibility for over 100 staff and a turn-over of NZ$800 million per annum.
Kelvin's experience includes launching 61 new products internationally, including first mover launches, entry into new therapeutic areas and the geographic expansion of brands. His responsibilities for brands have included Strepsils and Nurofen (the fastest growing over-the-counter brand in Europe).
Previously, Kelvin was employed by Boots Healthcare Thailand as managing director responsible for a number of countries across Asia. This followed earlier employment with Boots Healthcare New Zealand.
Currently, BLIS is in the process of negotiating partnerships for international distribution of the 'BLIS K12 Throat Guard' lozenges, which will be released domestically in April. Also on the horizon are novel products to help control tooth decay, help prevent skin infections and acne, and a treatment for mastitis in cows that could greatly reduce antibiotic reliance and boost milk production.
