Parekura Horomia

MINISTER OF MAORI AFFAIRS

Mr Horomia has been the Ikaroa Rawhiti Member of Parliament since 1999.

He is Minister of Maori Affairs, Associate Minister of Education, Associate Minister of Tourism, Associate Minister of Fisheries, Associate Minister of Social Services and Employment (Employment).

As well as his work as a public servant, he is a former Chairperson of Ngati Porou, Te Kohanga Reo Trust Training Board, is a former Maori Warden, former Chairperson of Hatea Rangi Maori Council Executive and former Member of the Youth Advisory Board / New Zealand Lotteries Board and a member of several Maori organisations.
