Paul Goulter

Secretary, NEW ZEALAND COUNCIL OF TRADE UNIONS

Paul Goulter is Secretary of the New Zealand Council of Trade Unions. He joined the CTU after nine years as General Secretary of the finance sector union, Finsec.

The Council of Trade Unions is committed to a high skill, high wage economy that is sustainable, balanced and then integrated, and can support an export focus.

In his role in the CTU, Paul is responsible for working with unions, business and government in the transition to this economy.

Particular features of the CTU program include a focus on successful workplaces, training and development and involvement with industry initiatives.

The CTU is particularly concerned to see the development of workplace practices and culture that support and sustain innovation at all levels.
