David Lee

CEO, LANSDOWN RUN

Since graduating from the University of Canterbury in 1962 David Lee has been heavily involved in the clothing and textile industry, both in New Zealand and overseas.

He has, over the years, been CEO of Walker Corporation, CEO of LWR, chaired the New Zealand Textile Federation, been a director of Tradenz, a council member of the Canterbury Manufacturers Federation, a director of Lichfield (NZ) and a director of J Ballantyne & Co.

In 1993, recognising the opportunity to establish an internationally competitive yarn operation, David established Landsdown Run Corporation. This highly successful exporting company is focused on developing new technology to further enhance the remarkable qualities of wool.

David is based in Christchurch where he was born and educated. Apart from a one year stint in Greensboro North Carolina and attendance at the Pittsburgh University Business school David has always been a staunch Canterbury based man.
